Catalyst
things aren't quite how I'd expected.
things turned out just a little wrong.
promises don't work when it's too late,
when you've waited just a moment too long.

I never told you the whole truth,
but every word from you was a lie.
I could find a way back into your thoughts,
though, I'm not sure its even worth the try.

so, instead, I'll keep it to myself,
the ways you made me feel,
and I'll just go on wishing
that what I thought we had, was real.
